Greenbrook Healthcare is a GP-led organisation focussed on delivering first class primary health care solutions founded on its knowledge and experience. Collectively the principals of Greenbrook Healthcare have a wealth of clinical, managerial, financial, property and investment experience and expertise, as well as financial resources.
Brook Green Medical Centre, the practice behind Greenbrook, is a large GMS training practice in Hammersmith with a 70 year track record of delivering healthcare in West London. It has grown its list size and range of services rapidly over the past 5 years and carries out both postgraduate and undergraduate training. It is also experienced in taking on additional General Practice lists in competitive tender environments and of absorbing NHS staff subject to TUPE arrangements.
Management team
Dr. Sally JohnsonMedical Director
- Sally is responsible for the design of clinical systems and for clinical governance in Greenbrook. She also carries responsibility for training and education of clinicians.
- Sally is a GP at Greenbrookâs Ashford Health Centre, a combined GP Practice and Walk-in Centre at the Ashford Hospital in Middlesex.
- She has a clinical interest in paediatrics (MRCP, paeds). She also has an interest in medical education and has held a number of teaching posts most recently as a GP Tutor. Her other qualifications include an MSc in medical education, MRCGP (merit) & Diploma in Family planning (DipFFP).
- Sally has been a GP based in Surrey and the Greater London area for many years working in traditional GP practices as well as urgent care walk-in centres.
Michael SteelChief Executive
- Michael is responsible for business operations and business strategy.
- 15 years of advising organisations on growth and development issues.
- In 1998, he co-founded his own advisory business, which he built into a 30-person company in two years before it was bought by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
- Michael has a Masters degree in business administration (MBA) from INSEAD, and a Masters degree in Economics from Oxford University.
Dan AnnettsChief Operating Officer
- Dan oversees the Ashford Health Centre and is responsible for the growth in new services and geographic areas.
- Previously Dan was at Virgin Media where he worked on the acquisition of Virgin Mobile, the operational integration and rebranding of ntl:Telewest to Virgin.
- Dan also spent 7 years in business consulting, including as a founder member of a firm advising small businesses.
- Dan has an MBA from INSEAD and a degree from Oxford University.
Cathy MakepeaceBusiness Manager, Ashford Health Centre
- Cathy is responsible for day to day management of the Ashford Health Centre.
- She is an experienced practice manager having previously run a large practice in Chertsey, Surrey and has also been a manager in the insurance industry.
- Cathy has a Diploma in Practice Management.
Rajni SangarBusiness Manager, Hounslow
- Rajni is responsible for day to day management of the Hounslow practices.
- Rajni has 16 years of GP Practice experience in the NHS having managed 3 large practices in Knightsbridge, Hounslow and Ealing.
- Rajni holds a Diploma in General Practice Management from the University of Westminster.
Non-executive/Advisory Team
Kazia KantorChairman
- Kazia is a highly experienced non-exec, CFO and finance professional.
- She has worked at the board level of a number of public companies (Inchcape, Grand Met, Coates Viyella and Central Television) and was a non-exec on the board of Imperial College, British Rail, Somerfield and Manchester Business School.
- FCA (Price Waterhouse), BSc. Mathematics Manchester University.
Dr David WingfieldFounder and Board Member
- David is senior partner of the Brook Green Medical Centre Partnership, a large GMS Training Practice in Hammersmith, and PEC Chair at Hammersmith & Fulham PCT.
- His clinical interests include care of homeless people, substance misuse, diabetes and hypertension and he is a GP trainer taking GP Registrars from the Riverside vocational training scheme.
- David has been a member of the Local Medical Committee of Ealing, Hammersmith and Hounslow since 1993 and was chairman of the Primary Care group in Hammersmith and Fulham from 1998 to 2002. In 2002 he was appointed to the Professional Executive Committee of the PCT, appointed to the vice chairmanship from 2006-7, and led the establishment of the Practice Based Commissioning Consortium in 2006.
- He holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Oxford (2003) for a thesis in the field of cardiovascular medicine conducted within Imperial College where he held a Research Fellowship. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners and specialist qualifications, the diploma of Child Health and Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Professor Sir Malcolm GreenStrategic Medical Advisor
- Malcolm is an advisor to Greenbrook Healthcare.
- He was a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Royal Brompton Hospital until his retirement in 2006. He trained at Oxford and St Thomas’s Hospital and undertook a research degree at Harvard, focusing on the small airways. He later worked on the respiratory muscles, pioneering methods for assessing their function.
- He founded the British Lung Foundation charity to promote lung health, support patients, and raise funds for lung research. He campaigned for improved air quality and better knowledge of lung disorders.
- Malcolm held a number of senior management roles including Director of the British Postgraduate Medical Federation, Campus Dean for Imperial College at St Mary’s Hospital, Head of the National Heart and Lung Institute and Vice-Principal in the Faculty of Medicine of Imperial College.
- He has served on several hospital boards and a number of charities.
Peter Scott
- Peter is founding Chairman of Medicentre, which develops premises for NHS GPs, and a committee member of the Primary Care Premises Forum.
- He is also a trustee of the charity Whizz Kidz, the largest supplier of equipment and support for disabled children outside the NHS.
- Peter co-founded and chaired financial information and publishing group Hemscott (formerly Hemmington Scott).
Dr James Cavanagh
- James trained as a General Practitioner and holds the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has worked for three years in General Practice and as Medical Director of the Soho NHS Walk in centre. James is a partner of Brook Green Medical Centre.
Peter Dawson
- Peter Dawson is the Practice Manager of Brook Green Medical centre and became a partner in September 2005. Before that he was Communications Manager for an international, independent risk management organization.
Ian Godden
- Ian is a successful businessman and entrepreneur, currently chief executive of SBAC, a non-executive director of E2V and chairman of a gas production business. He is a former managing partner of strategy consultancies Booz, Allen & Hamilton and Roland Berger. He started his career with BP. MBA Stanford, California and BSc Engineering, Edinburgh.
Dr Sharon Kaye
- Sharon qualified from the University of Bristol in 1994 and followed a career in Medicine obtaining the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians before training as a General Practitioner, obtaining the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Sharon is a partner of Brook Green Medical Centre.
